Shop Demo Units →There is actually a big difference between the two. When you hear the word “reconditioned,” you may think of something pre-owned. A pre-owned used machine is exactly how it sounds. A machine that was used by someone else without the knowledge of it working properly or not. However, there is so much more that goes into reconditioning a machine at Southeastern Equipment and Supply. Some competitors only sell refurbished equipment, but reconditioning is more time-consuming and labor-intensive; our goal when reconditioning a unit is to bring it as close to brand new as possible. The end result? You get a reliable cleaning unit at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.
Our reconditioned machines are rebuilt by factory-trained technicians, not just cleaned up and resold. Each unit is:
- Stripped to its major components, cleaned, and pressure washed
- Sanded and repainted on metal surfaces, with tanks heated to remove scuffs and scratches where practical
- Fitted with new wear items: vac motor, hoses, gaskets, filters, blades, casters, bumper wheels, decals, and batteries (lithium-ion batteries are tested rather than replaced)
- Reassembled, serviced, and tested to perform like new
- Motors tested and rebuilt as needed. An LP buffer engine, for example, gets an oil and filter change, new spark plugs, emissions testing, and valve adjustment.
Reconditioning averages 15 hours per machine and can run up to 80 hours on larger units. Lead time on a typical reconditioned commercial unit can be several weeks, with prebuilds and demo units shipping faster when available. Reconditioned and demo units are covered by a 90-day parts, 30-day labor warranty and usually sell for 50% or more off the price of a comparable new unit.
Demo Units
The demo units we sell typically have very few hours (between 1 and 200) of use and condition is consistent with units used for display, training or evaluation purposes. Despite light use, our commercial cleaning equipment for sale is fully serviced and tested prior to shipment. This can be the best of both worlds and give you a like new machine for a used price.
Factory Inspection
We also take one step further for those that purchase our reconditioned large, industrial Tennant machines. To ensure that you get the best quality product from us, we will make every possible effort to have a Factory Field Service Technician perform a final operational inspection of the unit prior to shipment.
We are a factory certified service center for the brands we offer and have access to the most up-to-date parts, schematics, technical data and service data for the commercial cleaning equipment we rebuild. Our reconditioned units have been shipped worldwide. For further peace of mind, all of our commercial cleaning equipment for sale comes with a warranty, 90 days on parts and 30 days labor.
