“The VN1500 is a straightforward corded burnisher for keeping finished floors glossy between strip-and-recoat cycles. It spins a flexible pad driver at 1,500 rpm on a 20 in path, which is the speed range where finish starts to shine instead of just getting cleaned. The 1.5 hp, dc rectified motor and all-metal construction are built for daily use in schools, offices, retail stores and hallways with VCT or other finished floors. Operators get fingertip controls, a safety lock-out switch and a circuit breaker on the handle, so a trip can be reset without walking back to the panel. At 88 lb with large transport wheels, it moves between floors and buildings without much fuss, and the 50 ft safety-yellow cord covers a good stretch of hallway from each outlet. It does not have dust control, so plan on dust mopping after burnishing. If you want to collect pad dust as you go, the Dragon DR2000DC adds passive dust control at 2,000 rpm.”

Is a pad driver included?
Yes. A flexible pad driver comes with the machine. Burnishing pads are sold separately.
Does it have dust control?
No. The VN1500 does not have dust control, so dust mop the floor after burnishing. The Viper DR2000DC adds passive dust control.
Can I use it to strip or scrub floors?
No. Stripping and scrubbing call for a low-speed floor machine. The dual-speed VN20DS runs at 185 or 330 rpm.
