“The T600ee is a specialty machine, and it is the one to call about when your safety team or the Authority Having Jurisdiction says only a Type EE battery-powered machine can go on the floor. Tennant says it is the only company with a listed Type EE battery-powered floor cleaning machine, and the T600ee is ETL listed to UL 583 Type EE, meaning its electrical equipment is completely enclosed. Typical homes are plants that make, handle or store hazardous materials such as paints, printing inks, cosmetics, perfumes, pharmaceuticals and rubber. Underneath, it is a 32 in disk T600 with the same 32 gal solution and 37 gal recovery tanks, Pro-Membrane zone settings, Quiet-Mode and Auto Fill. To keep the rating, Tennant limits the build: 240 Ah wet batteries only, an off-board charger, and no ec-H2O, Smart-Fill or rinse hose. One important point: the user is responsible for confirming the machine suits a particular hazardous location, so involve your safety team before you order.”
A Type EE walk-behind scrubber for hazardous locations
The Tennant T600ee is a battery-powered walk-behind floor scrubber ETL listed to UL 583 Type EE, for facilities where the Authority Having Jurisdiction requires a Type EE machine in a hazardous (classified) location. It cleans a 32 in (800 mm) path with two disk pads at 300 rpm and carries a 32 gal solution tank and a 37 gal recovery tank.
This is Tennant’s T600ee configuration: 32 in disk deck, Pro-Membrane control panel, six 6 V, 240 Ah wet batteries (36 V), an off-board 25A charger, Auto Fill for the solution tank and one set of 16 in pad drivers or scrub brushes.

What does Type EE mean?
UL 583 Type EE battery-powered machines have their electrical equipment completely enclosed. Type EE machines are usually mandated by the Authority Having Jurisdiction for use in a hazardous (classified) location.
Is the T600ee right for my facility?
Tennant lists applications that produce, handle, process or store hazardous materials such as perfumes, cosmetics, paints, printing inks, pharmaceuticals and rubber. The user is responsible for confirming suitability for a specific classified location, so check with your safety team or AHJ.
Can it have ec-H2O or Smart-Fill?
No. To keep the Type EE listing, ec-H2O NanoClean, the Severe Environment switch, the rinse hose and Smart-Fill are not available. Manual battery watering is an option.
Will it fit my aisles?
