“If your crew is still pushing uprights across ballrooms, corridors, open offices or big retail carpet, the V-WA-30 is worth a hard look. It cleans a 30 in path, and Tennant says that gives it nearly four times the productivity of a traditional upright, with a maximum coverage rate of 14,000 sq ft per hour. Two 1 hp vacuum motors produce 226 cfm of airflow at the orifice, and the 30 in brush runs on a Poly-V belt drive. Operation is one button. The handle adjusts to the operator’s height and folds down for storage, and the low-profile body reaches under furniture and into spots a big machine usually misses. It runs below 70 dBA, and filtration includes a 3-ply filter bag, a washable foam intake filter, a 3M Filtrete filter and a vac motor filter. The 75 ft safety-yellow cord covers a lot of floor from a single outlet. Tennant rates its cleaning performance CRI Bronze.”
