“The 28 in T500 is the all-around middle of the lineup, and it's a natural first look for grocery stores, hospital corridors, school hallways and general retail. Two 14 in pads or brushes clean a 28 in path, Tennant estimates about 22,286 sq ft per hour of practical coverage, and the 22.5 gal solution tank and 27 gal recovery tank keep the operator cleaning instead of walking to the drain. This is the conventional package, scrubbing with water and detergent, with the Pro-Membrane control panel and its Zone Settings and supervisor lock-outs, plus four 6 V, 225 Ah wet batteries with Smart-Fill automatic battery watering. The on-board charger plugs in wherever there's a standard outlet. Practical touches add up over a shift: Insta-Fit no-tool pad and brush changes, a no-tool squeegee change, a front fill port and a breakaway squeegee with an integrated P-trap to stop drips. With the standard squeegee, Tennant says the T500 recovers 100 percent of the water in 180-degree turns. If chemical use is a concern, the same machine is offered with ec-H2O NanoClean.”
A mid-size 28 in scrubber with automatic battery watering
The Tennant T500 is a battery-powered, self-propelled walk-behind floor scrubber for schools, healthcare, grocery, retail and other mid-size floors. Two 14 in disks clean a 28 in (700 mm) path, and the 22.5 gal (85 L) solution and 27 gal (102 L) recovery tanks keep it on long routes between dump-and-fill stops.
This package (T500-2002D) has the Pro-Membrane control panel, four 6 V, 225 Ah wet batteries with Smart-Fill automatic battery watering, conventional cleaning with water and detergent, a 25 A on-board charger and a set of pad drivers.

Do the batteries need watering?
They are wet batteries, but this package includes Smart-Fill automatic battery watering, which fills them correctly from an on-board 0.66 gal tank. The operator only refills that tank.
Does it come with pad drivers or brushes?
One set of pad drivers comes standard. Polypropylene or nylon 28 in disk brushes can be chosen in place of the pad drivers when you order.
How much floor can it clean in an hour?
Tennant estimates about 22,286 sq ft per hour of practical coverage, with a theoretical max of 30,800 sq ft per hour.
Will it fit my aisles and doorways?
The 28 in T500 is 59.1 in long, 29.5 in wide and 43.3 in high, the squeegee is 41.3 in wide, and it needs 59.6 in of aisle to turn around. Measure your tightest doorway and aisle before you order.
What does Quiet-Mode do?
Quiet-Mode lowers the sound level from 66.5 to 61.7 dBA at the operator’s ear, which helps in occupied buildings. Tennant says it also extends run time.
