“The 28 in T500 with ec-H2O NanoClean is a strong all-purpose choice for grocery, retail, hospital and school floors where the goal is daily scrubbing with less detergent. ec-H2O turns ordinary water into a cleaning solution on board, which means fewer chemical jugs to store and mix, and Tennant rates the 28 in deck at about 23,680 sq ft per hour of estimated coverage with ec-H2O. When a spill or heavy soil calls for detergent, the operator can switch to conventional mode. The machine itself is the full T500: a 22.5 gal solution tank, a 27 gal recovery tank, three down pressure settings up to 120 lb and a vacuum with 46 in of water lift. This package includes the Pro-Membrane control panel, so supervisors can preset Zone Settings and lock them, four 6 V, 225 Ah wet batteries with Smart-Fill automatic battery watering, and an on-board charger. Insta-Fit pad changes and a no-tool squeegee change keep upkeep quick. Heavy grease is the one place to be careful, since Tennant says ec-H2O isn't suited to heavy concentrations of fats and oils.”

The Tennant T500 is a battery-powered, self-propelled walk-behind floor scrubber for schools, healthcare, grocery, retail and other mid-size floors. Two 14 in disks clean a 28 in (700 mm) path, and the 22.5 gal (85 L) solution and 27 gal (102 L) recovery tanks keep it on long routes between dump-and-fill stops.
This package (T500-3002D) has the Pro-Membrane control panel, four 6 V, 225 Ah wet batteries with Smart-Fill automatic battery watering, ec-H2O NanoClean cleaning, a 25 A on-board charger and a set of pad drivers.

Tennant T500 28 in: common questions
Do the batteries need watering?
They are wet batteries, but this package includes Smart-Fill automatic battery watering, which fills them correctly from an on-board 0.66 gal tank. The operator only refills that tank.
Does it come with pad drivers or brushes?
One set of pad drivers comes standard. Polypropylene or nylon 28 in disk brushes can be chosen in place of the pad drivers when you order.
How much floor can it clean in an hour?
Tennant estimates about 23,680 sq ft per hour with ec-H2O and 22,286 conventionally, with a theoretical max of 30,800 sq ft per hour.
Will it fit my aisles and doorways?
The 28 in T500 is 59.1 in long, 29.5 in wide and 43.3 in high, the squeegee is 41.3 in wide, and it needs 59.6 in of aisle to turn around. Measure your tightest doorway and aisle before you order.
Can I still use detergent?
Yes. ec-H2O machines have two scrubbing modes, so the operator can switch to conventional scrubbing with detergent for heavier soil. Tennant notes ec-H2O isn’t suited to heavy concentrations of fats and oils.
