Your machine
How to tell which you have
- Check the model number: Minuteman's parts manual lists ER28DS, ER28DSQP, ER28DSQPG, ER28DSQPT and ER28DSPLUS for the 28 in deck, and ER32DS, ER32DSQP, ER32DSQPG, ER32DSQPT and ER32DSPLUS for the 32 in deck. The user manual asks for the machine's serial number with any parts order.
- Look at the brushes: the 28 in deck runs two 14 in (36 cm) disc brushes and the 32 in deck runs two 16 in (41 cm) disc brushes.
- Disc decks only: this parts manual prints drawings and lists for the 28 in and 32 in disc decks. It prints no cylindrical deck parts.
- Many parts fit both: the deck size only changes the scrub deck assemblies and bases, deck covers, deck motor, deck plate and the front roller mounting brackets.

Set up, run and look after your E Ride 2832 Sport. Everything here comes from Minuteman’s user manual, rewritten in plain steps, with the parts you need linked to the list above.
1Charge the batteries first
- Use the right charger for your battery type. Follow the charger maker’s and the battery maker’s instructions.
- Wear protective clothing and safety glasses, and take off metal jewelry. Do not smoke, and keep open flames and sparks away. Charging gives off explosive gas.
- Charge in a well-ventilated area with the battery cover removed completely. Minuteman recommends 235 Ah batteries (MM956751).
- Check the water level before and after charging. If it is low, add water until the metal plates are covered.
- Turn the charger off before you disconnect it.

2Check it before every run
- Look around and under the machine for leaks. Hoses, lines and tanks must be free of leaks and damage.
- Check the rear squeegee blade (MM90494139) and the side squeegees for wear and damage.
- Check that the steering works properly.
- Empty and clean the recovery tank if it needs it. Fill the solution tank and add a low-foaming cleaning agent made for automatic machines.
- Do not leave cleaning solution in the machine when it is not in use.

3Start up and scrub
- Disconnect the charger and connect the battery connector. Turn the key switch from 0 to 1. The battery gauge shows the charge left.
- Pick one of the five modes with the mode selector knob. Set forward or reverse with the directional switch.
- Press the accelerator pedal. The mode you picked decides which functions run.
- Drive forward in a straight line and overlap each pass by 2 to 3 in (5 to 8 cm). Start moving right after the brush deck switches on, or the brushes leave marks on the floor.
- If you pressed the pedal before the key was on, the machine will not move. Take your foot off, turn the machine off and on, then press the pedal again.

4Finish up and store it
- Select transport mode. All cleaning functions shut off. Move the machine to a suitable site.
- Empty and clean the solution tank and the recovery tank. Follow local rules for disposing of detergents.
- Remove and clean the vac shoes, check the fluid levels and clean the machine. Do not clean the electrical parts with high-pressure cleaning equipment.
- Check the maintenance schedule, do any maintenance that is due, then charge the batteries.
- Store it indoors in a clean, dry place that does not freeze. Leave the tank lids open. Turn the key switch off and remove the key.

How do I change the rear squeegee blade on the Minuteman E Ride 2832 Sport?
Unlatch the rear latch and slide the two rear straps off the assembly. Then flip the blade over to use a new edge. The rear blade has four usable edges. Replace it with a new rear blade when the edges are worn.

What do the SPORT key positions on the E Ride 2832 Sport do?
They set the brush speed: position I is 200 rpm, II is 300 rpm and III is 400 rpm, nominal. You need the key in to pick a new position. The setting stays when you remove the key.

How do I stop scrubbing on the E Ride 2832 Sport?
Select transport mode. It stops the solution flow, raises the scrub deck and turns off the vacuum motor after a 20-second delay.

Why won’t my E Ride 2832 Sport move?
The operator must be sitting on the seat, because the pedal is interlocked with the seat switch. If you pressed the pedal before the key was on, take your foot off, turn the machine off and on, then press the pedal.

How often does the E Ride 2832 Sport need a Minuteman service center?
Minuteman lists service at 125, 250 and 500 hours. The 500-hour job is a safety check done at least once a year. SES services Minuteman machines: call 800-440-6723.

What batteries does the E Ride 2832 Sport use?
Six 6-volt batteries wired for 36 volts. Minuteman recommends 235 Ah batteries. It does not recommend mixing Amp Hour capacities.

Can I use the E Ride 2832 Sport on a ramp?
Minuteman says it is designed for level operation only and not to be used on ramps or inclines. The parts manual lists a working grade for transport of 10% (7°).

Notes on this parts list
Places where Minuteman's documents disagree, and how this page handles them. If you are unsure, call 800-440-6723 with your serial number.
- Battery capacity differs. The parts manual (page 2) prints 275 Ah. The user manual (pages 2, 11 and 22) prints 235 Ah and recommends Minuteman P.N. 956740. The wiring list prints 956740 as a 6V 235Ah flooded battery and 956745 as an optional 12V 312Ah AGM battery.
- The two manuals list different model numbers. The parts manual has ER28DSQPT and no ER28DSQPGT, ER32DSPLUSIW or ER32DSQPIW. The user manual has those three and no ER28DSQPT.
- Page 45 prints the six lines of the 28 in deck assembly (page 43) again above the deck base list, under the heading 28129S-2. This page lists them once, in the deck assembly section.
- The Main Assembly III list (page 9) has an item 32 (281459, crank pivot shaft) with no callout on the drawing (page 8). The solution tank list (page 23) skips item numbers 34 to 37 and 40. The pump list (page 36) has items 1 and 35 with no callout on the drawing (page 35).
- Main Assembly VI item 9 (snubbing washer, 281211) is printed as not shown. Main Assembly V item 2 is printed with a note not to use reference 2 for warranty purposes and to see page 17 for sub-assemblies.
- Rear squeegee list item 3 (172539) is printed as NLA with 'see notes', but the page prints no notes. Isolator pad 241748 is printed 'use 830557'. Circuit breaker list item 10 (830557) is printed with a quantity of 1.67 and no unit.
- The plumbing diagram (page 53) shows a solution tank assembly number that matches no list line, solenoid valve 742718-1 and pump 742709-2. The parts lists show 281012MS, 748390 and 742709-6, and the wiring list shows pump 742709-3. The diagram has no parts list and is not a section on this page.
- The wiring list prints the TRIO control unit as 748400 (A1). The electrical panel list (page 26) prints the controller as 748721. The wiring list prints the disc brush motor as 748003 or 748033 (M2). The deck lists print 748424 (28 in) and 748425 (32 in).
- The wiring list includes cylindrical deck parts (brush motors 748048, breakers 740247) that have no drawing or list in this manual. The accelerator switch (S5) is printed as 'part of 748013-1' with no number of its own.
- The user manual asks for the serial number from the 'nameplate, section 1.7', but its section 1.7 is the steering wheel and it does not say where the nameplate is. It also says (page 7) to avoid sudden stops on ramps and to drive up when cleaning ramps, while page 10 says not to operate on ramps or inclines.
- Descriptions are copied as Minuteman prints them, including its spacing and abbreviations (for example WSR, SCR, BLT and a washer line ending in a period).
